BFN1 System Board

Boingfire has released the BFN1 System Board, a compact, fanless platform engineered for dependable edge deployments and long service life. Built on the Intel Atom E3845 quad-core processor with AES-NI acceleration, BFN1 is well-suited to security and networking workloads, including firewalls, VPN gateways, SD-WAN/CPE, and other embedded network appliances.

BFN1 includes 2× Intel Gigabit Ethernet (i210AT) for stable, widely supported connectivity, along with flexible boot and storage options including mSATA, internal eMMC, SATA, and USB. With practical appliance-focused I/O such as an RJ45 serial console and USB 3.0/USB 2.0, BFN1 enables consistent builds, faster provisioning, and reliable remote operations across branch and edge environments.

Fully customizable at the system-board level, BFN1 is ideal for long-term deployments, allowing you to tailor memory and storage options to the project while maintaining stable, appliance-grade performance over extended service life.
